Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

This policy explains what Cards of Iris (including the EyeRis app) collects, why, and your choices. In short: we collect only what we need to run your account and the service, we do not sell your data, and we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites for advertising.

1. Who we are

Cards of Iris is operated by Cards of Iris Pte. Ltd. (Singapore). "We", "us", and "our" refer to Cards of Iris. This policy covers our website and the EyeRis mobile app.

2. Information we collect

We collect the following, all tied to your account:

  • Account details — your email address, and a display/curator name if you provide one.
  • Identifiers — a user ID we assign to your account.
  • Your collection content — the cards, binders, listings, and images you add, and any collection you choose to publish to the public Gallery.
  • Purchases — your subscription plan and payment history (we do not receive or store your card number).
  • Support messages — anything you send us through the in-app or website support form.
  • Usage and diagnostics — how you use the app (for example, scan and feature activity) and crash/error data, used to operate and improve the service.

Camera and scanning. EyeRis uses your device camera to identify cards. Card matching runs on your device; images are used to recognize the card and to build your collection. Face ID, if you enable it, is handled entirely by Apple on your device — we never receive your biometric data.

3. How we use your information

  • To create and secure your account and let you sign in.
  • To provide the core features: scanning, cataloguing, binders, listings, and the Gallery.
  • To process subscriptions and send you receipts and service emails.
  • To respond to your support requests.
  • To keep the service reliable, understand usage, and fix problems.

4. What we do NOT do

  • We do not sell your personal data.
  • We do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites for advertising, and we show no third-party ads in the app.
  • We do not collect location, contacts, health, or financial account information.

5. Sharing with service providers

We share data only with providers that help us run the service, and only as needed:

  • Payments — Apple (in-app purchases) and Stripe (web) process payments and send their own receipts. They handle your payment details directly; we receive only confirmation and the amount.
  • Hosting and email — cloud hosting and an email delivery provider used to run the service and send account/service emails.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

6. The public Gallery

If you publish a collection to the Gallery, the binders you choose, their cards, your Gallery title/description, and your curator name become visible to other signed-in users. Prices and personal details are not shown. You can unpublish at any time. Other users can report or block a Gallery; see our Terms.

7. Your choices and rights

  • Access and update — you can view and edit your account details in the app and on the website.
  • Delete your account — you can permanently delete your account from Settings ’ Delete account in the app; this removes your personal data, subject to records we must keep by law.
  • Currency and preferences — you control display settings in the app.

To make a request or ask a question, contact us at the address below.

8. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account we remove or anonymize your personal data, except where we are required to retain certain records (for example, transaction records) by law.

9. Children

Cards of Iris is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and change the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
